On March 29, 1980, Chris D’Elia was born in Montclair, New Jersey, United States. His parents are interior decorator Ellie D’Elia (née Dombroski) and television producer and director Bill D’Elia.
His mother, Ellie D’Elia, is of Italian and Polish ancestry, and his father, Bill D’Elia, is a second-generation Italian-American.

Career
Chris D’Elia began acting in high school and appeared in a few Chicago Hope guest spots. He studied acting at New York University but left after a year because he did not enjoy college. Then he made an appearance in a direct-to-DVD film. He began creating scripts in his spare time while working as an actor. He chose to try stand-up comedy when he was 25 since he had always wanted to.
Since 2006, Chris D’Elia has been doing stand-up comedy. His debut performance took place in North Hollywood’s Ha Ha Café. He sees himself as a stand-up comedian who also performs on stage.
