MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — Idaho State Police (ISP) released an update to the investigation of a school bus crash on State Highway 55 near milepost 84.
Troopers believe the school bus crashed after it veered off the roadway and overcorrected, causing it to roll over. No other vehicles were directly involved in this incident.
The driver was a 64-year-old female from Caldwell, Idaho, who sustained injuries. There were 28 occupants onboard the bus, and eight passengers sustained severe injuries. ISP will not provide medical updates on these individuals.
Troopers have concluded their investigation, and this case has been forwarded to the Boise County Prosecuting Office for review.
