Police told the media Wednesday that they had enough evidence to prove that she assisted in the murder case of Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra. Police shared that Romanos did tell police that her gun was indeed the murder weapon that Christopher used in the murder.

During the press conference Wednesday, police also mentioned that Romanos was the other person in the truck who was seen handing a towel to Preciado at the apartment complex where the two bodies were found.

More surveillance revealed that all three suspects were inside the truck when they returned to their residence.

Authorities believe that Romanos is the stepmother to Christopher Preciado and partner to his father, Ramon Preciado.

Police have charged Christopher Ray Preciado, 19, with capital murder, abuse of a corpse, and alter or destroy a human corpse. His father, Ramon Preciado, 53, was charged with alter or destroy a human corpse and abuse of a corpse charge for helping his son move the bodies after the murders.

The murders took place just before midnight on Dec. 21 with Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra killed at a different location before being transported. Her family reported her missing on Dec. 22 which was just one day before she was meant to be induced at the hospital.

Soto and Guerra were both found dead on Dec. 26 inside a gray Kia Optima in the parking lot of the Colinas at Medical Apartments off Danny Kaye Drive.

Police say that they believe no other suspects are involved in this case.
